“Inspector Dewey” by Kristen Heimerl is about a big cat named Dewey. Dewey’s job is to keep everyone and everything in his house safe. Dewey has three best friends, Thumper, Lily, and Anna. Thumper and Lily are cats like Dewey, but Anna is a girl. Everyone loves Anna.

One night everyone was sleeping in Anna’s bed, when a bad guy showed up in the neighborhood. Dewey thought that Anna should call the police and Anna read Dewey’s mind and called the police. The police caught the bad guy, but they wouldn’t have been able to catch him without Dewey’s help, and this made Anna so happy. From now on Dewey is called Inspector Dewey.

“Inspector Dewey” by Kristen Heimerl is a great story, so interesting and like solving a mystery. I love Dewey. He is a smart cat that takes care of everyone, and he knows how to help. I also love the pictures, they are beautiful, and I think you will love them.

Note from Mom:  This is such an endearing story, a little gem we will keep and treasure for a long time to come. The illustrations are beautiful, and it is evident that a lot of love and devotion went into the writing and production of this book. Paola and I hope to see more from this author soon!
