This book is about a boy named Kevin who loves to play soccer. Kevin is serious when he plays soccer, so are his teammates. Kevin is on the team called The Wild Soccer Bunch. When Kevin is challenged to a soccer game with The Unbeatables, Kevin thinks his team does not stand a chance without a coach to coach them. When their adult friend, Larry, agrees to coach them they find themselves doing some crazy things at their practices.

Larry teaches them how to play soccer and conquer their fears at the same time. He has them playing with pebbles and dribbling with tennis balls.  They even have a soccer game with a dog! Once you read this part, you will see how The Wild Soccer Bunch learns a lesson. They practice from morning to night, getting better each day. Larry has taught them some good lessons, you just have to wait and see.

I really liked “The Wild Soccer Bunch: Kevin the Star Striker.” I am a really big fan of soccer; I just finished my soccer season. I think kids of all ages would like this book. When you reach the end, it’s a real shocker!
