Grayce: “This book was about care and kindness and the funny part of the book is when the dog in the tutu kept the cookies safe. This is not an Easter book, but it is filled with Easter colors. I learned that you can be kind always. I loved that page when the girl was painting the cookies because I want to paint cookies like that one day. I like the word ‘admire’ because it reminds me of you. I also like the words ‘connected’ and ‘true love.’”

Parent’s comments: A sweet book with a sweet message and a recipe for sugar cookies at the end. “Sugar Cookies: Sweet Little Lessons on Love” does a great job of describing big words through beautiful illustrations and simple examples. Grayce said to me, “That’s how many cookies I could eat…to get sick. That’s how much I love you. That would be infinity cookies.” Any book that shares through cookies the concept of “infinity love” – that’s my kind of book.
