Cayden: “In this book there is the normal side on one page and the shadow of it on the other side. In the beginning the shadows are the things that you see on the page. But then, when you go to the other pages there are other things in the shadows that aren’t in the pictures. They are the things that the girl is pretending are there when she is playing. I liked looking at them and trying to figure out what she was doing. She thought of a lot of fun things!”

Parent’s comments:

The book “Shadow” by Suzy Lee explores creativity and play. While somewhat simplistic with only three words in the whole book, the beauty is in the illustrations. We enjoyed this unique book about the power of a child’s imagination.
