“Just a Little Music” by Mercer Mayer is part of “The New Adventures of Little Critter” series of books. Little Critter wants to play an instrument so they go to the music store where he finds that a drum seems to be the perfect fit for him. He is so excited that he practices all of the time!

Cayden: “I am glad that he picked the drum. I have little drums too but I didn’t have lessons on them like he did. I had lessons on piano instead. I don’t think that is as noisy as drums. I liked when his sister hid the drum because it was too loud and I liked the picture with all of the instruments in the store.

Parent’s comments:

“Just a Little Music” is fun book about Little Critter deciding that he wants to play an instrument. My son could relate to the book as he is also very interested in playing music. The illustrations, as always in Mercer Mayer books, were fun and full of interesting details. We recommend “Just a Little Music” by Mercer Mayer to any child who enjoys music and Little Critter!
