“Stowaway: The San Francisco Adventures of Sara, the Pineapple Cat” is the fourth book in a series of “Sara, the Pineapple Cat” adventures.  In this adventure, Sara sneaks along on a trip with her owners to San Francisco and explores what the city has to offer.

Cayden:  “This is the Pineapple Cat again but she looks different again.”

Cayden:  “That lady must be sneezing because she is allergic to Sara the cat.  I sneeze when I am allergic to things too.”

Max:  “Ahhhhcchhhoooo!”

Max:  “Beep! Beep!  Siren!”

Cayden:  “Her collar went off in the airport metal detector.”

Max:  “Cat in stroller!”

Cayden:  “And she has a bonnet on like a baby!”

Cayden:  “I liked the story but sometimes the colors in the pictures weren’t right like when they said a hot pink shirt but the picture wasn’t hot pink it was red.  I liked Sara’s adventures though when she got on the plane and when she got out and was in the city by herself.”

Parent’s comments:
Once again, like the rest of the “Sara, the Pineapple Cat” series, “Stowaway: The San Francisco Adventures of Sara, the Pineapple Cat” has a different author and illustrator.  The differences don’t show up as much in the writing as in the illustrating as Sara looks different again than in the previous books.  There are also a couple of inconsistencies between what the text says and what the illustrations show when it comes to colors.  However, the story held my children’s attention and they enjoyed trying to figure out where Sara was going to end up next on her adventure.
